INDIE OASIS EPISODES

  • KATANA ZERO

Katana ZERO is a stylish neo-noir, action-platformer featuring breakneck action and instant-death combat. Slash, dash, and manipulate time to unravel your past in a beautifully brutal acrobatic display.

Katana ZERO on Steam

This game is tough, no question about it. The combat had me sweating bullets, retrying levels until I finally nailed that perfect flow of slashes and dodges. It’s brutal, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pure satisfaction. The difficulty only makes the victories sweeter.

Beyond the challenge, though, this game is something special. The story is gripping, dark, cinematic, and dripping with mystery. The pixel art is stunning and the soundtrack is fantastic. It’s a masterpiece that tested my patience but rewarded me with an experience I won’t forget. Worth every second!

    EPISODE 30

  • ROP

Enter the Ring of Pain, a roguelike card crawler where encounters come to you. Each step around the ring a dire decision. Go for the loot or backstab a creeping horror? Meet strange friends bearing gifts and treasure. Choose your gear wisely to survive and discover the secrets of the Ring of Pain.

Ring of Pain on Steam

I’d never played a roguelike card game before this, and honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but wow, I’m hooked. The gameplay is straightforward enough for a newbie like me to grasp, but there’s a sneaky depth to it once you start messing with builds. It’s wild how much fun I’m having tinkering with cards and strategies, even as a total rookie to this genre.

That said, it’s not flawless. The RNG can be a beast, sometimes you’re cruising, other times you’re toast because of pure bad luck, no matter how solid your setup is. I’ve learned to roll with it, but it stings when a run falls apart out of nowhere. Also, some might find it a bit pricey for what it is. Definitely snag it on sale or in a bundle if you can! I really enjoyed it!

    EPISODE 29

  • GREAK

Greak: Memories of Azur is a single-player puzzle platformer adventure. Azur is under threat from an enemy attack who have control of strange creatures infecting the land. Take on the role of three siblings: Greak, Adara and Raydel and utilize their unique abilities to escape the invasion together.

Greak: Memories of Azur on Steam

This game offers a relaxed pace that blends strategy and puzzle-solving with a nice balance of difficulty, making it ideal for those who prefer to take their time. It’s a great pick if you enjoy thinking through challenges without the stress of rush-induced gameplay. The game features multiple characters, each with unique abilities that work well in combination, though it can become a bit repetitive when controlling them all for the same task. Despite the clunkiness in switching between characters, the game remains engaging, and the puzzles are satisfying, especially the final ones.

The beautiful hand-drawn artwork and charming story add to the appeal, creating a whimsical atmosphere. However, there are a few design flaws that hinder the experience. Once you leave the main map with the scouts, you can’t return, which may cause you to miss collectibles. Additionally, enemy respawns and the lack of a pause feature when accessing the inventory can lead to some frustrating moments. Despite these minor flaws, it's a chill, enjoyable game with satisfying puzzles and a beautiful art style. A sequel would be great!

    EPISODE 28

  • MARK OF THE DEEP

Mark of the Deep is an epic pirate-themed adventure with a strong narrative and a thrilling mix of Metroidvania and Souls-Like elements. Embark on this journey, explore the mysteries of a cursed island and find your missing pirate crew!

Mark of the Deep on Steam

I don’t like to not like a game, especially for reasons that are entirely fixable. I had seen some demo footage of Mark of the Deep and was genuinely excited to play it. Devs, thank you for the opportunity to experience your work firsthand!

That said, the game ended up being more frustrating than fun. The colorful visuals and surprisingly good music clearly show real creative effort, but unfortunately, the clunky combat holds the experience back. Attacks feel stiff, dodges are sluggish, and enemies soak up too much damage, turning fights into a grind rather than a satisfying challenge.

Exploration, which should have been a highlight, ends up being confusing without a map. I often got lost instead of discovering exciting new areas. On top of that, glitches like getting stuck in the environment and action delays only made these moments more frustrating.

For the devs - the passion behind the project is clear, and there’s potential here. To help the game reach that potential, consider the following suggestions:

    • Combat Improvements: Focus on making attacks and dodges more responsive while balancing enemy health to shorten repetitive encounters.

    • Navigation Enhancements: Adding a simple map system would greatly improve exploration and player orientation.

    • Bug Fixes: Prioritize resolving issues with scenery collisions and action delays to smooth out gameplay.

I'm just one person, but in my humble opinion, I truly believe that with these changes, Mark of the Deep could become a more polished and enjoyable experience that fully realizes its creative vision.

    EPISODE 27

  • SWAG

Squirrel, meet gun. As the neighborhood’s most obnoxious rodent, develop a knack (and a love?) for crime and mayhem in pursuit of golden acorns in this nutty sandbox shooter and puzzle platformer. Fight tooth, claw, and gun to escape a secret underground facility and defeat the Agents.

Squirrel with a Gun on Steam

A big thank you to Queen Ririii for gifting this game for the channel and I to enjoy!

If you're missing a game that doesn't take itself seriously but is ridiculously entertaining, this is it. It's goofy, chaotic, and physics-defying in all the best ways. From solving puzzles to pulling off outrageous stunts, it’s the kind of game that keeps a smile on your face the entire time.

Sure, there are some clunky controls and bugs, but honestly, who cares when you're having this much fun? The soundtrack is unexpectedly fantastic, hitting you with bangers left and right. Plus, if you're tired of overpriced "AAA" games, this is an affordable, joy-filled alternative that embraces its silliness.

Grab it on sale, grab it full price—just grab it. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

    EPISODE 26

  • CLOUDPUNK

A neon-noir story in a rain-drenched cyberpunk metropolis. It’s your first night on the job working for the Cloudpunk delivery service. Two rules: Don’t miss a delivery and don’t ask what’s in the package.

Cloudpunk on Steam

A big thank you to Sir Monkey for gifting this game for the channel and I to enjoy!

This is the perfect game for rainy-day vibes, offering a relaxing escape into a stunning, neon-soaked cyberpunk city. You play as Rania, a courier navigating her first night in Nivalis, delivering packages and uncovering the city’s hidden layers.

The gameplay is simple yet soothing—flying your hovercar, exploring on foot, and making story-driven decisions. It’s not about action but soaking in the atmosphere. The voxel-style graphics and synthwave soundtrack bring Nivalis to life, with its glowing skyscrapers, perpetual rain, and dystopian charm.

The story dives into thoughtful, existential themes. The voice acting is hit-or-miss, but the heartfelt moments and immersive world make up for it. Customizing your car and apartment adds a personal touch, and while the game doesn’t offer much replay value, it’s all about the journey, not the destination.

    EPISODE 25

  • NEW ARC LINE

Take a stand in the eternal conflict between Arcane Magic and Steampunk Revolution and tip the uneasy balance between sorcery, elves, dwarves and mysterious monsters on one side and steampunk gadgets, zeppelins, and tesla guns on the other in this single-player, party-based, story-rich RPG.

New Arc Line on Steam

I’ve never played a D&D-style game before, but the mix of steampunk and magic in New Arc Line immediately caught my eye. The world-building is fantastic, and the story has a strong start with an intriguing mystery. However, as a newcomer to this genre, I found the systems a bit confusing and leveling up felt underwhelming. I openly admit that this doesn’t make it a bad game, just something to think about for newcomers.

The biggest frustration for me was the clunky inventory system and constant stuttering, which made simple actions way harder than they needed to be. That said, I can see the potential here. The world feels alive, and the turn-based combat is fun, even if a bit shallow.

For now, I’d only recommend this if you’re okay with bugs and some growing pains. I’ll definitely revisit it after more updates, but as a first-timer in this genre, it feels like it’s still finding its footing.

    EPISODE 24

  • CHICO AND THE MAGIC ORCHARDS

Solve puzzles by rolling a giant walnut in this retro-handheld-inspired adventure. Explore a variety of levels each with unique mechanics. Help Chico build his winter stash and find his way home!

Available on Steam, itch.io, and Nintendo Switch!

Chico and the Magic Orchards DX on Daikon Games

The game takes a minute to load but runs smoothly after that. Its retro pixel art and customizable borders capture a nostalgic handheld vibe.

With simple controls, you move, jump, and use a versatile walnut to solve puzzles, open paths, and hit switches. The walnut respawns at checkpoints, keeping frustration low.

Short stages feature straightforward goals like collecting coins and finding keys. Coins unlock extras, but missing one requires replaying the level.

Though brief, the game’s retro charm make it an enjoyable experience!

    EPISODE 23

  • CHAINS OF FURY VOL 1

Welcome to Volume I of a high adrenaline, fast-paced Boomer Shooter where you have only one goal: spread furious mayhem among the scumbags keeping you locked up. Stuck looking for an exit? Just punch through walls and then shoot the suckers behind them.

Chains of Fury on Steam

The game’s art and gameplay style are very enjoyable, offering a nostalgic nod to classic boomer shooters. However, technical issues hold it back. Audio balance is off, with some sounds far too loud, and I frequently encountered glitches, including falling out of the map. Performance also suffered during intense action, with noticeable frame rate drops during boss fights. While the game shows great potential, these bugs and performance issues hinder the overall experience. With more polish, it could be a good game, but for now, it feels like a promising project in need of refinement.

    EPISODE 22

  • SPIRIT OF THE NORTH

Spirit of the North is a single-player 3rd-person adventure game inspired by the breathtaking and mysterious landscapes of Iceland. Play as an ordinary red fox whose story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a female spirit fox.

Spirit of the North on Steam

Thank you Monkey for gifting this game to the channel for us to enjoy!

Very comfy, cozy game with amazing scenery. It’s not incredibly difficult but it doesn’t really hold your hand either. You can get lost looking for the next objective but it’s okay because there are beautiful visuals and the soundtrack is super relaxing. This is not a game I would normally play but it was an enjoyable experience! Looking forward to the sequel!

    EPISODE 21

  • PUMPKIN JACK

Pumpkin Jack is a Spooky Scary 3D platformer in which you embody Jack, the Mythical Pumpkin Lord! Dive into an Epic Adventure through otherworldly landscapes and help the Evil annihilate the Good!

Pumpkin Jack on Steam

Great little 3D platformer for the Spoopy Season! Beautiful visuals, fun soundtrack, nice weapon variety, enjoyable story with wit and lots of charm! It wasn’t very hard; the bosses had fun mechanics to learn and the puzzles were fun to figure out.

Embark on a journey into the darkest nightmares to restore your sanity. Blast your way through hordes of possessed enemies, unlock an arsenal of deadly weapons and unearthly abilities, and get ready to face even more Lovecraftian madness in this action-packed FPS sequel.

Forgive Me Father 2 on Steam

The game combines dark comic visuals with Lovecraftian horror for a uniquely eerie atmosphere, as if pulled from a supernatural graphic novel. Fluid movement, an intense soundtrack, and brutal, weighty weapons create fast-paced combat that challenges both reflexes and strategy, demanding quick, skillful decisions.

    EPISODE 19

  • DARKSIDE

Grab your trench coat, tune your sixth sense and join the Darkside Division as they investigate the outright bizarre, the downright dangerous and the confusing cases of Twin Lakes. Flesh-hungry tentacles, mafian zombies, and the occasional missing sock are no match for The Darkside Detective.

The Darkside Detective on Steam

Simple but fun point and clicker! I really enjoyed the quirky humor and music throughout.

    EPISODE 18

  • RUINER

RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired psychopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend.

RUINER on Steam

Incredible visuals, an amazing soundtrack, and engaging gameplay! It's challenging but definitely doable. I had a blast dashing around with melee weapons—it’s super fast-paced. I casually finished the story in roughly 10 hours and really enjoyed the experience.

    EPISODE 17

  • HELLBLADE

From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice on Steam

It’s an emotional ride filled with themes of regret, doubt, terror, and anguish, but there’s also that tiny flicker of hope that keeps you going. I loved how it ties into Norse mythology; the optional lore bits add such depth and are really fascinating to explore. You can truly feel the love and dedication Ninja Theory poured into this game, especially in how they collaborated with scientists and mental health professionals to accurately depict the struggles faced by those who suffer from these conditions. It’s clear they wanted to create a respectful and authentic representation, which I deeply appreciate.

I finished the game in just under 10 hours, and I was blown away by the stunning graphics, powerful audio, and compelling story. I am really looking forward to playing Hellblade 2!

    EPISODE 16

  • PEDRO

My Friend Pedro is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana.

My Friend Pedro on Steam

What an absolute wild ride this game was! I had a blast from start to finish. The gameplay mechanics and the soundtrack were fantastic. What I really enjoyed was how the game constantly introduced new elements as you progressed, so it never felt repetitive or stale.

The variety of items you could interact with was such a treat. Pulling off a perfect environmental takedown felt incredibly satisfying, like I was part of the world, manipulating it to my advantage.

Banana says pew pew, you pew pew.

Introducing Rectangle Guy, a brand new game by The Bare Minimum Studios. Rectangle Guy (game) features Rectangle Guy (character) in this platforming adventure! With many challenging levels and exciting boss fights, there's no shortage of things to do and see in this wacky game.

Rectangle Guy on Steam

Simple yet challenging, this game strikes a perfect balance between heart and humor—clearly, a lot of passion went into crafting every detail. The humor throughout had me smiling even during the most intense moments, and the level design is nothing short of brilliant. Each theme feels fresh, and while the challenges push you, they never feel impossible, just the right amount of tricky. Plus, the soundtrack? Pure fun! It added so much to the experience, making even the toughest sections enjoyable. You can really feel the love in this one. Great job, dev, truly!

Run, Jump, Dash, and Bawk your way through this quirky infinite runner. As a charming chicken with superpowers, you’ll collect whacky items, catch rowdy rascals and soar to new highscores in Super BAWK BAWK Chicken!

superbawkbawkchicken.com

I haven't played an endless runner style game with this much insanity! The devs definitely had a ton of fun making this and it shows!

A delightful mix of obstacles ready to trip up little Clucky, all set against a range of charming map areas that keep things fresh and fun. What’s really cool is that you can adjust the starting run speed letting you either blast off at full speed or ease into it with a slower pace—either way, you'll hit that same final sprint! Plus, the music and sound effects? Absolutely adorable and perfectly crafted. I spent over 9 hours in my first play of this game helping Clucky turn into fried chicken because I died a lot.

Let it be known - ya boy bambamthetanman had the lowest high score on multiple levels! (Lethal Magpie)

    EPISODE 13

Valfaris on Steam

HOLY SH*T THIS GAME IS DIFFICULT!

That being said, I haven't played a game like this in quite some time and I had a lot of fun. Gotta have the patience of the gods to get through this unless you're a hardcore player of this style game. Beautiful pixel art and heavy metal soundtrack/sound effects. It ran buttery smooth while streaming and recording among a plethora of other things running on my PC at the same time. Haven't finished it yet but gonna come back for seconds!

  • ROLLDERDROME

Rollerdrome is a BAFTA award-winning third person action shooter that seamlessly blends high octane, visceral combat with fluid movement and tricking mechanics into one complementary and challenging whole, to create an original adrenaline-pumping shooter experience like no other.

Rollerdrome on Steam

I've never played anything quite like this before. I did an 8+ hour stream of Rollerdrome, and it was a blast to play! Imagine Max Payne meets Tony Hawk’s, and you’ve got the essence of this game. The soundtrack is fun, the weapons are fun to use and the comic book art style is something I really liked. The game demands a lot of multitasking since everything happens fast, but that was incredibly enjoyable for me.

  • DESCENT VECTOR

Race your space pod through a procedurally generated gauntlet of space stations, asteroids, and industrial megastructures in this single-player sci-fi endless runner. Test your limits, compete on global leaderboards for top rankings, and become a master pilot where speed is your plaything.

Descent Vector: Space Runner on Steam

I had a lot of fun with this. The gameplay is simple but quite the challenge. Eating jalapenos every time I died was pretty funny too! The controls are smooth, and the sense of speed is spot on, making every close call feel like a true victory.

  • STRAYA

MEET THE DEV!

An action based shooter based in Australia where everything wants to kill you.

Straya on Steam

Roo-roos creeping up on you? Check! Venomous spiders? Check! Goats? Check! Lightning strikes sparking fires all around you? Check! It’s the Australian outback, where everything that moves—and even Mother Nature herself—seems determined to take you down.

I had an absolute blast playing this game and look forward to coming back to it in the future, especially as updates are released. It looks fantastic and runs incredibly well. It's truly impressive what one dev can do. He is actively working on updates for the game and very open to feedback.

  • DESCENDERS

Descenders on Steam

Great game and enjoyable soundtrack! The maps are fun and well thought out. I normally play with M&K (mouse and keyboard) but I actually preferred to play this game with a controller. No issues on my PC while running a ton of other things and streaming!

  • TEXTORCIST

The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia on Steam

Cute game with fun puzzles, great voice acting, and great overall aesthetic! I had a couple of spots where I had to reload due to glitches but I still enjoyed the game!

  • FLINTLOCK

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn on Steam

Having never played any Souls or Soulslike game before, I was unsure if I would enjoy this one. However, after charging into the first boss fight with no gear and spending a few hours learning how to defeat him, I'm now hooked! The mobility in this game is fantastic. Despite experiencing some performance stuttering and crashes, I've still been having an absolute blast!

  • STICKMIN

The Henry Stickmin Collection

These games bring back the old Newgrounds memories. Hilarious antics whether choosing the right or wrong answers. I had crashing when playing, even when I turned the resolution down to 1080. Other than that, I had a great time!

  • CALL OF THE SEA

Call of the Sea on Steam

Beautiful game and some of those puzzles had me stumped! Very "Lovecraftian" but remained its own story at heart.

  • GUTS

What more could you ask for with wild physics and racing? I played this on stream and connected the eject to a command the chat could use for even more fun. EJECTO SEATO CUZ!

This was a fun noir detective themed game! I really didn't know what to expect going in to this but I came out having had a good time! The voice acting and music really set the tone and the puzzles were great!
