Silver Chains is a first-person horror game with a strong emphasis on story and exploration. Search for clues within an old abandoned manor to unravel the truth about the terrible events which have happened.
I genuinely enjoyed this game, despite some elements not being super polished, and a few puzzles that left me utterly stumped. However, we managed to navigate through without resorting to cheat guides, which added to the sense of achievement. The jump scares are executed brilliantly, and the sound design, like the unsettling creaks of the house, combined with the oppressive silence, crafts an intense, chilling atmosphere. If you're a fan of narrative-driven horror with a focus on exploration and survival, Silver Chains does a great job!

Survival Horror in first person where you must manage your ammunition well, explore varied scenarios and face nightmarish beings, while investigating the macabre experiments with children, the result of a mind unhinged by madness and family loss.
Jack Holmes : Master of Puppets on Steam
This game was such a refreshing surprise, especially knowing it came from a solo dev. The carnival section felt like a collection of mini-games wrapped in one, each more creative than the last. Most indie horror titles focus purely on fear, but Jack Holmes dares to blend humor and heart with its survival horror elements—and it works brilliantly. The puzzles are clever, the tension is real, but the amusement park steals the show. It’s like stepping into a spooky reimagining of childhood nostalgia, full of charm and dark whimsy. I did experience a few crashes (probably my system), but it didn’t dampen the fun. I’m already excited to play other titles from this dev!

All of these games were developed by different creators using the Yahaha Game Kit and published by Yahaha Studios. They were short, basic horror games that utilized the same mechanics. In all honesty, there a couple of decent jumpscares throughout all of them but individually, they weren’t anything special. I got caught up on some of the puzzles and still had a good time streaming them though.
Navigate Oak City’s eerie nights, solving puzzles and escaping chained rooms to survive. Uncover the dark plan of the relentless predator in this immersive adventure. Each step tests your wits and courage. Can you escape, or will you become the next victim?
As I reached adulthood, a village bully murdered me and abandoned my body in a temple. Instead of seeking revenge, my fearful parents arranged a ghostly marriage to appease my soul. But the pain will never cease, and my hatred will never fade.
Experience this first-person horror game in a tiny Guatemalan home. As a journalist, you investigate a mysterious villa after your long-lost friend Eddie calls. Grim halls, monsters, and rusty mailbox blood await. The four chapters include spooky stories, jump scares, and difficult riddles.
Myst of Guatemala on Steam
As night falls, you find yourself alone at home, where strange events begin to unfold, revealing an evil entity. Survive the night in a desperate struggle with your worst nightmares. In this four-chapter journey, every shadow hides peril, and every noise could spell your demise.

MEET THE DEV!
Welcome to my first game! (TS GAMES) Where you'll immerse yourself in a unbelievable, story-rich mystery, packed with a jaw-dropping plot twist, horror, and multiple endings.
ETHEL on Steam
Had an absolute blast revisiting this game! The improvements compared to the first version are impressive. Load times were much faster, and the performance issues I encountered before—like stuttering and persistent frame drops—were completely gone. The game keeps you on edge the whole time; there's no room to relax with something sinister always lurking around. Despite the small map, it’s packed with enough tension to keep you constantly on guard. The lore and notes scattered throughout were a great touch too, making it even more immersive. My first playthrough took about 4 hours because I got stuck in a few spots, but this time I breezed through in around 2 hours. Tony definitely put his soul into it and you can tell with the heartfelt note during the end credits. Huge props for making your dream a reality! Can’t wait for the sequel, Claire! *Chappelle scratch*
Check out and wishlist Claire here!

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger.
This game flips the usual alien-blasting action on its head, turning survival into a nerve-wracking game of hide-and-seek. As Amanda Ripley, daughter of the legendary Ellen Ripley, you're stranded on a space station where every corner holds danger.
The Xenomorph isn't a typical, scripted enemy—it's smart, adaptive, and constantly hunting. Hiding or using distractions only works momentarily, as the alien quickly learns your tactics, keeping you in a constant state of tension.
Ultimately, Alien: Isolation isn't about conquering enemies—it's about surviving long enough to save, making every step forward feel like a victory.
This game is longer than many horror games and the viewers told me I had to play it on the Hard difficulty. This will be played in multiple parts!

"September 7th" is a short horror game released for Christmas. The plot of the game is simple to the point of banality, and the gameplay is not delayed. The game also contains some Easter eggs and mentions. The game takes place in 2009.
Just like the other short horror games I've played from Emika_Games, this one is just as creepy! Looks awesome, not incredibly difficult, great sound quality and ambient noises, unsettling atmosphere!
Turning onto an old road, the main character gets into an accident due to thick fog. Now he's trying to find someone who can help him. Forced to enter an old house, the main character finds himself trapped, from which it is not so easy to get out.
I'm counting to 6... on Steam
Yet again, fantastic creepy atmosphere, awesome sound and graphics quality. Sure, it's a bit of a walking sim but it's a good time especially for a low price. Sometimes these types of games are for you, other times they aren't. I rather enjoy them! Thanks Emika!

You find yourself in a dollhouse - can you escape, or will you meet your fate? Navigate through the escape room-style puzzles, and avoid being caught by the creatures who exist in this place, and gain your freedom from the dollhouse!
I played a pre-release version of Dolls' Domain, and it was a blast. Some puzzles I breezed through, others had me stuck, but that’s part of the fun! The breathing mechanic, in particular, induced instant panic; such a clever touch! Even playing it in an early state, it’s clear the devs nailed something special. I’m definitely revisiting it upon release. Well done, Not Evil!
-
DOMUS ABSCONDITA is single player horror and mystery adventure. Step into the shoes of a private investigator and try to uncover all the secrets of the Manor. Will you escape with the truth, or will you become another lost soul within its haunted halls?
This game doesn’t hold your hand, which adds a refreshing level of challenge. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments when the solution was right in front of me, and you could tell the dev intended that all along! The atmosphere is undeniably dark, with no brightness settings to enable any 'cheat mode' for a horror game. It's clear the developer had fun experimenting with different ideas throughout the experience. At the time of writing, I did encounter some long load times after death, but I pushed through and finished it. Overall, the game is a great play for this dev's first game, and I’m excited to see what this he creates next!

Darkwood - a new perspective on survival horror. Scavenge and explore a rich, ever-changing free-roam world by day, then hunker down in your hideout and pray for the morning light.
Though this game may be a bit older by the time I got around to playing it, I had a great experience. The tension when turning corners, especially with limited visibility, really adds to the anxiety, and exploring at night is even more intense. The atmosphere is immersive, with excellent sound effects and music that enhance the experience. The graphics are fantastic, and the eerie woods truly give off a spooky vibe!

The game “Locked Up" is the first project developed in 2020 by the studio EMIKA_GAMES consisting of one person.
This game immerses you in an atmosphere thick with dread. The audio work is impeccable, creating an experience that keeps you constantly wondering what's coming. Lots of unsettling sounds and unnerving visuals that constantly builds tension, making it a deeply disturbing journey.
It was very slow and easy to get hung up walking back and forth trying to find what you were supposed to interact with next but I still had a good time!
In the summer of 2008. The main character, at the request of followers, goes to Russia to explore the abandoned camp "Yunost". Locals say that this place is inhabited by restless souls. This will need to be checked.
Just like the other Emika games I have played, creepy AF. Ambient audio is bonkers, you never know where what is coming from who where over there. wut?
Kind of easy to get caught up on a couple of things. Either that or I really just missed them multiple times! Still enjoyed it though!

MEET THE DEV!
"Dare you to explore and interact with an innocuous home environment in first person, solving intricate puzzles and a mystery whilst escaping the clutches of a sadistic hag and her morbid son."
HAG on Steam
The game has a solid foundation, though it has a few minor development hiccups. Keep in mind that this is made by a single developer and it is actively being worked on!
The ambiance is spot-on, and the HAG and her children are downright creepy. If you enjoy puzzles, you're in for a challenge—this game is set up like an escape room with minimal hand-holding. My biggest struggle was dusting off my protractor skills after 15+ years! It is relatively short but I’m confident that the dev will expand this game into something even greater than its already impressive beginnings.

"1975. Disaster strikes the Beira D oil rig off the coast of Scotland. Navigate the collapsing rig to save your crew from an otherworldly horror on the edge of all logic and reality."
Still Wakes The Deep on Steam
Short horror game with exceptional voice work and storytelling, stunning visuals, and captivating "Lovecraftian" horror elements. Loved the Scottish banter! I would love to see more games created like this!
-
Lunch Lady is a 1-4 player online co-op survival horror game. The school final exams are coming up and the best idea you and your friends had was to steal the test answers. Find all 10 pages and don't get caught by the murderous Lunch Lady!
Scary lunch lady bonks you! Insane difficulty is insane. Had a great time and ended up playing some multiplayer games to have even more fun.
The audio is a little strange where you could hear her as though she was on the same floor as you but perhaps that was on purpose to add more anxiety?
The game crashed on me a few times, and I heard from other players that it's a pretty common issue. It might've been because I was running other applications while streaming, but I still had a blast playing! -
A first-person horror adventure. Uncover your past and survive the Algerian desert. Fear is your enemy; stay calm to not succumb to an illness threatening you and your loved one. Avoid darkness, hide from monsters and solve puzzles. Adventure Mode available for a less scary experience.
I was pretty confused throughout this game but had to see it until the end. The atmosphere, gameplay, audio, and performance were great even though there was quite a bit of lore that I didn't understand without looking it up after having played it. I still had a great time with it! The puzzles were fun and challenging without being frustratingly difficult.

Explore the truly frightening subway cars and find out what fears the main character will have to face.
Playing Find Yourself was a fun ride! The game’s blend of psychological horror and gripping story kept me hooked from beginning to end. The creepy atmosphere, eerie visuals, and intense noises happening all around me matched the spooky tale perfectly.
"Father's Day" - a psychological thriller that is a spin-off and prequel to the game "Find Yourself". The dream of living happily ever after was destroyed after Phil lost his wife and son. Obsessed with the desire to return them, he develops a plan.
The story kept me intrigued, and the dark, intense moments were a great follow-up to the eerie Find Yourself. If you’re into horror with a twist, Father’s Day is definitely worth a play!
-
The Beast Inside is a unique, gripping twist on thriller and survival horror. Immerse in the story of long-buried secrets, personal tragedies, and madness. Play as two protagonists bounded by dark heritage. Combat the enemies, solve riddles and experience real terror in the 3D-scanned environment.
I had an awesome time with this one! The story, voice acting, and atmosphere were spot on, and it ran smoothly on my PC. The puzzles were challenging and really made me think, which I loved!
-
At Dead Of Night is part horror film, part horror game and part ghost hunt. It blends live-action and graphics to create a unique immersive horror experience like no other.
Playing At Dead of Night was pretty terrifying. From the start, the suspenseful atmosphere and creepy audio had me on edge. Every creak and whisper added to the fear, making each moment intense. The constant tension and unexpected scares had my heart racing and palms sweating. The feeling of being watched and the fear of making a mistake kept me anxiously engaged throughout. Don't get BONKED by Jimmy!

MEET THE DEV!
"You'll immerse yourself in a unbelievable, story-rich mystery, packed with jaw-dropping plot twist, horror, and multiple endings. You'll need sharp OBSERVATIONAL and MEMORY skills. Solve tricky puzzles and navigate eerie environments without any hand-holding."
Ethel on Steam
Playing Ethel was an unsettling experience! The quiet atmosphere brought a creeping anxiety, with even something as simple as a ball becoming genuinely frightening. The suspense and tension really got under my skin.
I did run into some technical issues with fullscreen mode and frame rate drops, which might have been due to other apps running or OBS. Despite these glitches, I pushed through and still had a great time.
A highlight was discovering that the developer had quietly joined my stream and only revealed themselves at the end—what a cool surprise! I’m excited to dive into the next game, Claire, and see what other thrills are in store!
-
"Doll Impostor" is a horror game where you're the guardian of possessed dolls. Identify the impostor before 9 a.m. or face dire consequences. Every hour counts in this race against fear.
Who ACTUALLY likes creepy dolls? This one was another fun one! The atmosphere and visuals are just as creepy as the dolls and that really made every moment tense. The jumpscares were well done as well!
-
"When the sun goes down on the last night of summer camp, nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror. The only thing worse than the blood-drenched locals and creatures hunting them are the unimaginable choices you must make to help them survive."
The cinematic storytelling and decision-making kept engaged. The graphics, realistic character models, and eerie soundtrack set a chilling mood, while the top-notch voice acting added depth to the story, even if a bit cheesy at times. Perhaps that is just because I'm older and it's hard to imagine having been young and immature like that, amiright?
The gameplay was engaging with its mix of exploration, puzzles, and quick-time events, making each choice feel significant.
-
"Outlast 2 introduces you to Sullivan Knoth and his followers, who left our wicked world behind to give birth to Temple Gate, a town, deep in the wilderness and hidden from civilization. Knoth and his flock are preparing for the tribulations of the end of times and you’re right in the thick of it."
The dark, oppressive atmosphere and visuals made the horror feel incredibly immersive. The haunting sounds and sudden scares had me constantly on high alert.
Managing resources was a real challenge, adding to the intensity of the experience. The disturbing storyline and dark themes kept me hooked, making every moment both gripping and thought-provoking.
As of writing this, I haven't played the first Outlast.
-
"You must stay alive in this horror/puzzle adventure. Try to survive the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. Use your GrabPack to hack electrical circuits or nab anything from afar. Explore the mysterious facility... and don't get caught."
I played all three currently released chapters of this game back to back for one of my streams and it was great! The setting, filled with creepy yet oddly charming toys, instantly reminded me of childhood memories—except with a much darker twist.
The game’s puzzles were cleverly designed, requiring both critical thinking and a bit of courage to solve. Navigating the factory while trying to avoid the sinister Huggy Wuggy was genuinely nerve-wracking, and the unexpected jump scares had my heart racing more than once.
Despite a few moments of frustration with tricky mechanics, the overall experience was awesome and left me wanting more.

"Bendy and the Ink Machine® is the first person puzzle action horror game that will forever ruin your childhood love of cartoons."
Bendy and the Ink Machine on Steam
I made the unfortunate mistake of playing Bendy and the Dark Revival before this one. I say "mistake" not because this game is bad—it's great—but because the sequel shows the devs' improvement in expanding the story and creating an even more ominous atmosphere. Despite that, I had an awesome time with this one and I'm glad I went back to see where it all started.
-
"In Sound Mind is an imaginative first-person psychological horror with frenetic puzzles, unique boss fights, and original music by The Living Tombstone. Journey within the inner workings of the one place you can’t seem to escape—your own mind."
I really enjoyed this game. As a mental health advocate, it was fascinating to see each patient's demons visualized. It made for some interesting chatting after stream!
Combat combines traditional weapons with creative tools that also solve puzzles. Boss fights, representing patients' worst fears, require strategy and stealth. The clever puzzles kept me motivated.
The sound design is exceptional, featuring haunting noises and a dynamic soundtrack. Great job, devs!
-
"Explore a decadent hotel across different timelines and uncover the dark history of a fanatical cult and your role in their plans."
Fobia - St. Dinfna Hotel on Steam
While it doesn't pack the same scare factor as some other horror games, Fobia's captivating atmosphere and story more than compensate for that. If you appreciate games that emphasize ambiance and a slower pace, this one is definitely worth your time. It has a Resident Evil vibe that I really enjoyed.
-
"In Man of Medan, five friends set sail on a holiday diving trip that soon changes into something much more sinister."
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan on Steam
This was my first foray into an Anthology game, and I had a blast with it! Streaming it live, I had fun pausing the action to let viewers vote on the choices and see who the real troublemakers were! The storyline, graphics, sound, and characters are top-notch, and the quick-time events (QTEs) run smoothly, though I did miss a few. That was primarily due to my chat distracting me! Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
-
"Bendy and the Dark Revival® is a first-person survival horror game set in the creepiest cartoon studio to ever exist. Discover the truth. Escape the studio. Above all, fear the Ink Demon…and survive."
Bendy and the Dark Revival on Steam
This game made my first ever SCREAM STREAM episode a fantastic time! I absolutely loved the art style and this game masterfully blends exploration with puzzles and survival horror elements. The characters are well-crafted, each adding their own unique twist to the narrative.
